Japanese judokas, currently leading in the world rankings, share an interesting characteristic. According to Sport24.az, all of them won the "Grand Slam" tournament in Baku this year.
At the stage of the World Judo Tour in our country, Ryuju Nagayama (60 kg), Takashi Takeoka (66 kg), Tatsuki Ishihara (73 kg), and Sanshiro Murao (90 kg) won gold medals.
Later, Nagayama, Takeoka, and Murao also won the world champion title.
It should be noted that at the "Grand Slam" tournament held in Baku, Japan won the overall team standings with 10 gold, 4 silver, and 3 bronze medals.
