A cooperation memorandum was signed between the Special Olympics Committee and the Azerbaijan Judo Federation.
"Report" reports that the main goal of the Memorandum is to support the rehabilitation and physical-psychological development of people with intellectual disabilities through adaptive judo, to create an accessible and healthy environment for athletes, and to promote the development of inclusive sports.
Within the framework of the document, the parties will cooperate in the development of adaptive judo in the country, the involvement of people with intellectual disabilities in this sport, and the implementation of joint projects and programs. In addition, it is planned to organize awareness-raising events, training and seminars, and create professional development opportunities for coaches and specialists.
The memorandum was signed by Rashad Rasul, Executive Vice-President of the Azerbaijan Judo Federation, and Movlud Miraliyev, President of the Special Olympics Committee.
An adaptive judo tournament was also organized within the framework of the event.
