The medal won by Azerbaijani judoka Rza Khalili at the XVIII European Youth Olympic Festival (EYOF) is very valuable to him.
"Report" reports, citing the press service of the National Olympic Committee, that this was stated by Rza Khalili, who won a gold medal at EYOF.
The athlete, who took the highest step of the podium in the 50 kg weight category, said that this medal is very valuable to him:
"I spent a lot of effort to reach the final. However, the experience I gained in international competitions had its say. It is not easy to win a gold medal at the festival. The best judokas of the continent participate here. I am very happy that I advanced to the final and won a gold medal. This award is the most valuable among the medals I have won. Taking this opportunity, I express my gratitude to everyone who contributed to my achievements,"
It should be noted that Rza Khalili defeated Alexandra Chiarrone from Spain in the final.
