Azerbaijani judoka Ruslan Pashayev (66 kg) aims to win gold medals at the European and World Championships.
The 25-year-old athlete made a statement to "Report" about this.
The judoka, who became the champion at the Grand Prix held in Linz, Austria, said that they are focused on the next competitions:
"We are currently in training camp in the Czech Republic. Our main goal for this year is the World Championship to be held in Baku. Before that, the European Championship will be held. I will do my best to become a champion there as well."
R. Pashayev added that the tournament held in Linz was good:
"Strong rivals participated in the competition. The final match was a bit difficult for me. But I was able to win that match and win the gold medal."
It should be reminded that the Azerbaijani national team, which won 1 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronze medals at the Grand Prix, took the third place in the overall standings among 59 countries, and the first place in the men's competition.
