Results of the second round of the "Talent Selection" competition announced - PHOTO

The second round of the "Talent Selection" judo competition among U-16 adolescents held at the Absheron Olympic Sports Complex ended on March 15.

Idman.Biz reports that 118 judokas entered the mat on the last day of the tournament. Girls competed in the 44 kg, 52 kg, 63 kg and +70 kg weight categories; boys competed in the 55 kg, 66 kg, 81 kg and +90 kg weight categories.

The main purpose of the competition is to create a healthy base for the national team, to identify promising athletes who are candidates for the team and to form a sustainable reserve base. According to the final ranking of the two rounds, the athletes who are in the top 4 in each weight category will be involved in the "Hopes of the Future" training program.
