A thoroughly renovated judo hall has been put into operation at the Azerbaijan Sports Academy (ASA).
"Report" informs, referring to the press service of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, that Fuad Hajiyev, the rector of ASA, speaking at the opening ceremony of the hall, said that professional training of judokas and promotion of a healthy lifestyle are among the main priorities of the Academy.
The Rector expressed his gratitude to the Azerbaijan Judo Federation (ACF) for the support provided.
ACF Secretary General Rashad Rasullu noted in his speech that effective cooperation has been established between ASA and the federation for three years. He also said that the organization of practical lessons in judo together with the University of Hertfordshire of Great Britain and the holding of advanced training courses for new coaches are important areas of this cooperation.
Later, Professor Mike Callen of the University of Hertfordshire of Great Britain spoke and highly appreciated the tripartite cooperation established between ASA and ACF. He emphasized that this cooperation makes a great contribution to the dissemination of judo knowledge not only within the country, but also in the international arena.
