Maharram Imamverdiyev, in the 81 kg weight category, won all six of his matches and claimed the gold medal.
Among our women judokas, Konul Aliyeva (48 kg) and Gultaj Mammadaliyeva (52 kg) won bronze medals.
It should be noted that Islam Rahimov (66 kg) won gold, Nazir Talibov (66 kg) silver, and Huseyn Allahyarov and Murad Muradli (both 60 kg) won bronze medals on the previous day of the competition.
As a result, Azerbaijan, with 2 gold, 1 silver, and 4 bronze medals, took second place in the overall team standings among 35 countries, and first place in the men's competition.
