The Open European Judo Tournament has started in Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic.
Idman.biz reports that 4 of our judokas climbed the podium on the first day of the competition.
The 66 kg weight category was remembered with the Azerbaijani final. Islam Rahimov won gold, and Nazir Talibov won silver.
Our representatives in the 60 kg weight category, Huseyn Allahyarov and Murad Muradli, took third place and were awarded bronze medals.
Azerbaijan, which completed the day with 1 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronze medals, took second place in the overall team standings and first place in the men's competition.
It should be noted that 405 athletes from 35 countries participated in the tournament.
