An international training camp continues at the Guba Olympic Sports Complex. Sport24.az reports that about 280 judokas from 9 countries are participating in the preparation process organized jointly by the European Judo Union and the Azerbaijan Judo Federation.
In addition to the national teams of Azerbaijan from junior boys and girls, the training camp includes athletes representing Turkey, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Czech Republic, France and the International Judo Federation.
Our judokas are led by Emin Iskandarli, the head coach of the junior boys' team, coaches Nijat Shikhalizade, Kotaro Sasaki, Elnur Ismayilov, the head coach of the junior girls' team, and coach Amrah Amrahov.
The training camp on May 5-7 is preparatory in nature for the European Championship to be held in June in Skopje, the capital of North Macedonia, and the European Youth Olympic Festival to be held in July.
