The traditional Thuringia Judo Cup has concluded in Bad Blankenburg, Germany. The Azerbaijani national team, consisting of young girls, drew attention with its successful performance at this prestigious tournament, held for the 32nd time.
İdman.Biz reports that our national team finished the competition with one gold, one silver, and four bronze medals.
In the competition, Sunay Salamova (40 kg) won gold, Zahra Guliyeva (40 kg) won silver, and Parvin Sevxanli (44 kg), Konul Eyvazli (48 kg), Masuma Mammadli (70 kg), and Zemfira Aliyeva (+70 kg) won bronze medals.
A total of 243 judokas competed in the U-18 age category of the tournament.
In particular, the fact that the final in the 40 kg weight category was held between two Azerbaijani representatives demonstrated the absolute superiority of our team in this weight.
