Idman.biz informs that 12 representatives of the Azerbaijani national team will compete for gold medals in the fights to be held at the Mingachevir Kur Olympic Center.
On the second day of the competition, Aysu Aliyeva, Renata Arabli (both 61 kg), Irina Zaretska, Aysel Gasimova (both 68 kg), Fatima Badalova and Aggul Asgarova (both +68 kg) among women, and Farid Agayev, Rashid Suleymanov (both 75 kg), Turgut Hasanov, Farid Shahbazli (both 84 kg), Asiman Gurbanli, Vahid Hasanov (both +84 kg) among men will represent our country.
It should be noted that earlier Madina Sadigova (55 kg) defeated her compatriot Nazrin Piriyeva, Nuran Rzazade (67 kg) defeated Kyrgyz Erlan Akilbek Uulu, and Roman Heydarov (in the individual kata competition) defeated Uzbek Samandar Urazaliyev and climbed to the highest step of the podium.
Farid Savadov (60 kg) and Nazrin Piriyeva (55 kg) won silver medals, while Inci Azizova (50 kg), Aslan Dostuyev (67 kg), Ramila Heydarova, Rovshan Aliyev (both in individual kata competitions) had to settle for bronze medals.
It is worth recalling that the III CIS Games, in which a total of 1624 athletes from 13 countries are participating, will end on October 8.
