Azerbaijani junior judokas won 6 medals on the first day of the European Championship held in Skopje, the capital of North Macedonia.
Lent.az reports that 9 judokas competed in 6 weight categories today.
Anar Guliyev (50 kg), Rasul Alizade (55 kg) and Zeyd Alasgarov (60 kg) defeated all their rivals and became European champions.
Among the girls, Narmin Agamirzazade (48 kg) won silver, and Gulshan Huseynova (44 kg) and Leyla Alakbarova (48 kg) won bronze medals.
Thus, the Azerbaijani national team won a total of 6 medals on the first day of the European Championship, including 3 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronze. With this result, our national team took the first place in the overall team standings according to the value of the medals.
