The International Judo Federation (IJF) has updated its world ranking.
Idman.biz reports that this reflects the results of the Grand Slam tournament held in Dushanbe (Tajikistan), where the Azerbaijani team won 2 gold and 2 silver medals.
The winner of the tournament, Eljan Hajiyev (90 kg), advanced 6 steps and took 4th place. His teammate and final opponent, Vugar Talibov, rose to 12th place with 9 points.
Another champion of the Grand Slam, Balabay Agayev (60 kg), who previously held 18th place in the world ranking, advanced to 12th place.
The silver medalist of the competition, Jamal Gamzatkhanov (+100 kg), rose 13 steps and took 28th place.
Olympic champions Hidayat Heydarov (73 kg) and Zelim Kotsoiev (100 kg) have maintained their leadership.
