A new judo hall has started operating in the Sahil settlement of the Garadagh district.
The Azerbaijan Judo Federation (ACF) informed "Report" about this.
The opening ceremony was attended by ACF Executive Vice-President Rashad Rasul, ACF President's Advisor Natig Bagirov and other officials.
The total area of the hall, equipped with tatami meeting modern standards by the ACF, is 100 square meters. The hall also has coach and changing rooms. The new hall has conditions for 100 athletes to practice judo.
It should be noted that in 2022–2026, new judo halls were put into operation by the Azerbaijan Judo Federation in Ganja, Sumgayit, Gusar, Agstafa, Zagatala, Goranboy, Sabirabad, Zira settlement of Baku, Agdash, Kurdamir, Astara, Jalilabad, Tartar, Gakh, Imishli, Shabran, Mosul village of Zagatala and Vandam settlement of Gabala. Also, a total of 14,180 tatami were distributed to 198 sports halls in Baku and regions.
