A new judo hall has opened in the village of Vandam, Gabala region.
According to the information provided to "Report" from the Azerbaijan Judo Federation (ACF), the event held on this occasion was attended by Arifa Bayramova, Head of the Gabala District Education Department, Rashad Rasulllu, Executive Vice-President of ACF, Elkhan Mammadov, World Champion, member of the ACF Executive Committee, Fariz Najafov, President of "Gabala" Sports Club, and local residents.
The total size of the hall, equipped with tatami mats meeting modern standards by ACF, is 150 square meters. In addition, there are coaching and changing rooms. The hall will be able to accommodate 150 athletes practicing judo.
It should be noted that in 2022–2026, new judo halls were opened by the Azerbaijan Judo Federation in Ganja, Sumgayit, Gusar, Agstafa, Zagatala, Goranboy, Sabirabad, Zira settlement of Baku, Agdash, Kurdamir, Astara, Jalilabad, Tartar, Gakh, Imishli, Shabran and Mosul village of Zagatala. Also, a total of 14,000 tatami mats were distributed to 195 sports halls in Baku and the regions.
