A new judo hall has started operating in the Ganja Sports Palace.

It was reported that the event was attended by Rashad Rasul, Executive Vice-President of the Azerbaijan Judo Federation (ACF), Natig Bagirov, Advisor to the President of ACF, Movlud Miraliyev, Olympic medalist, member of the ACF Executive Committee, Elkhan Mammadov, world champion, member of the ACF Executive Committee, and other officials.
The total size of the hall, equipped with tatami meeting modern standards, is 483 square meters. In addition, there are coaching and changing rooms. More than 300 athletes will be able to practice judo in the hall.
It should be noted that in 2022-2025, new judo halls were put into operation by the Azerbaijan Judo Federation in Ganja, Sumgayit, Gusar, Agstafa, Zagatala, Goranboy, Sabirabad, Zira settlement of Baku, Agdash, Kurdamir, Astara, Jalilabad, Tartar, Gakh, Imishli, Shabran and Mosul village of Zagatala. Also, a total of 13,200 tatami mats were distributed to 179 sports halls in Baku and regions.
