The national wushu and wing chun team, operating under the Azerbaijan Chinese Martial Arts Association, successfully participated in the "Acropolis Wushu Open Tournament" international tournament held in Athens, Greece, in the wushu-sanda and wing chun-taolu versions.

It was reported that the national team, represented by 23 athletes in the competition, won a total of 21 medals (11 gold, 4 silver, 6 bronze).
In Wing Chun (Tao lu), Aydın Sayadli, Safa Mammadov and Suleyman Ismayilov won gold, Riad Gasimov won silver, and Khadija Habib, Elvin Hasanov and Jamal Aliyev won bronze medals.
In Light Sanda, Aydın Sayadli (56 kg), Suleyman Abbasov (52 kg), Samir Eynullayev (70 kg), Elchin Eminov (65 kg), Heydar Hasanzade (48 kg), Ruslan Shixiyev (75 kg) won gold, and Yusif Ibrahimov (65 kg) won silver medals.
In the Sanda type, Suleyman Ismayilov (85 kg), Ayman Mahal (60 kg), Jamal Aliyev (44 kg), Zaur Guluzade (70 kg), Khayal Ibrahimov (52 kg), Nadir Mikayilov (65 kg) and Ural Aliyev (56 kg) won gold, Safa Mammadov (75 kg) and Nijat Najafov (65 kg) won silver, Khadija Habib (60 kg), Abdurrahman Mammadzadeh (52 kg), Riad Gasimov (70 kg) and Elvin Hasanov (65 kg) won bronze medals.
