The judokas who will represent Azerbaijan at the European Cup among youth to be held on July 5-6 in Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic, have been determined.
"Report" informs with reference to the press service of the Judo Federation that Azerbaijan will be represented by 22 judokas (14 boys, 8 girls) in 10 weight categories at the competition organized by the European Judo Union.
The male judokas Mirkhaliq Iskandarov, Aykhan Mirzazade, Nijat Eyvazov (all 60 kg), Mehdi Jafarov, Salim Sultanov, Nihad Yahyayev (all 73 kg), Nahid Targuliyev, Roman Garayev, Mehdi Abbasov, Jasur Ibadli (all 81 kg), Canpolad Aliyev, Ali Kazimammadov (both 90 kg), Davud Namazli, Vidadi Aliyev (both 100 kg), and female judokas Aydan Valiyeva, Khadija Gadashova (both 52 kg), Fidan Gasimova, Gulnara Bayramova (both 57 kg), Nilgun Rzayeva, Leyla Atayeva (both 63 kg), Parvana Abdullayeva (70 kg), Nigar Suleymanova (+78 kg) will participate in the competition.
Members of the judging panel of the Azerbaijan Judo Federation, "A" category international referees Arzu Acalova and Akif Tahirov will also be among the representatives of justice in the tournament.
It should be noted that 447 athletes (280 boys, 167 girls) from 32 countries will test their strength at the European Cup.
