Idman.biz reports that this was stated by Laslo Toth, President of the European Judo Union (EJU), while sharing his thoughts on the passing of the baton from Budapest to Baku at the World Championships.
He also expressed his gratitude to the International Judo Federation and its President Marius Vizer: "I am grateful for giving Europe the opportunity to host the World Championships again next year."
Toth also shared his final thoughts on the main competition of the season held in Budapest: "It is a pleasure for me to remember the last two weeks. This period once again showed that Europe has a key position in the judo family. Our athletes performed at a high level in all weight categories and competed for awards."
It should be noted that Azerbaijani athletes won three bronze medals at the World Championships in Budapest.
