KHL clubs will achieve record revenue

Russian Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) clubs will earn a record amount - approximately 2 billion rubles - based on the results of the past season.

"Report" reports that the competition's press service has released information about this.

According to the results of the 2023/2024 season, the clubs earned 1 billion 175 million rubles. The basis for the formation of payments is income from the sale of TV and betting rights, payments from gambling games, and funds allocated by the league.

30 percent of the funds are proportionally distributed among the clubs according to sports achievements. The remaining 70 percent is distributed to the clubs based on other indicators.

It should be noted that the practice of distributing income among clubs was started by the KHL in the 2014/2015 season.
