The Azerbaijan Judo Federation (ACF) has high expectations from the European Cup among juniors held in Ganja.
According to the employee of "Report", who was sent to the competition, the Deputy Secretary General of the ACF, Sports Director Kamran Talibov, told reporters about this.
The official of the organization shared his views on the tournament, which starts today:
"The importance of the competition is that young judokas will face these athletes in the future in the youth and senior categories. This is a beginning for them, they gain experience and learn from their mistakes. Judokas also experience the international competition environment.
The sports director also touched upon Poland's refusal to participate in the competition:
"They decided not to come to the competition. They did not give us a specific reason."
According to K. Talibov, judokas are always focused on high results, regardless of which country participates:
"We have high expectations from today's competition. I cannot make a prediction at the moment. We are trying to hold both domestic and international competitions in different regions. We cannot say anything definite about where the next European Cup will be held."
Let us remind you that the European Cup will end on April 5.
