The European Judo Hopes Tournament will last two days in Baku.
Idman.biz reports with reference to AZERTAC that these words were said by Kamran Talibov, Deputy Secretary General and Sports Director of the Azerbaijan Judo Federation, in his statement to journalists about the European Judo Hopes Tournament organized at the Absheron Olympic Sports Complex.
He stated that seminars will be organized along with competitions during the two days: "Seminars will be held for children aged 13 and 15. The main goal of the tournament is to organize seminars. Specialists from Japan, Serbia and Azerbaijan are participating here. Young judokas are taught physical and technical skills at the seminar. This competition is a kind of festival for children."
The sports director recalled that Azerbaijani specialists also participated in the European Judo Hopes Tournament organized in other countries.
It should be noted that 436 athletes (364 boys, 72 girls) from 88 clubs representing 12 countries are competing in the international competition.
Winners and prize-winners will be determined in 33 weight categories in the tournament held in the U-13 and U-15 age categories.
