The judokas who will represent Azerbaijan at the World Championships to be held in Budapest, the capital of Hungary, have been determined.
"Report" informs that the press service of the Judo Federation has released information about this.
At the prestigious tournament, Azerbaijan will be represented by 13 judokas (9 men, 4 women) in 10 weight categories in individual competitions.
National team members will enter the tatami under the leadership of Performance Director, head coach of the men's team Richard Trautmann, senior coaches Elkhan Mammadov, Elchin Ismayilov, Robert Kravchik and Slavko Tekic, head coach of the women's team Amina Abdellatif and senior coach Sasha Herkenrath-Wimar.
Individual fights at the World Championships, which will be held at the Laszlo Papp Sports Arena, will take place on June 13–19, and the mixed team competition will take place on June 20.
At the tournament, male judokas Ahmad Yusifov (60 kg), Ruslan Pashayev (66 kg), Hidayat Heydarov, Rashid Mammadaliyev (both 73 kg), Zelim Tckaev (81 kg), Eljan Hajiyev, Vugar Talibov (both 90 kg), Zelim Kotsoyev (100 kg), Ushangi Kokauri (+100 kg), and female judokas Leyla Aliyeva, Konul Aliyeva (both 48 kg), Gultaj Mammadaliyeva (52 kg), Fidan Alizade (57 kg) will compete.
In the mixed team competition, Aytaj Gardashanli and Gunel Hasanli (70 kg) will show their skills.
It should be noted that the World Championship will be held on June 13–20.
