The number of teams participating in the World Judo Championship to be held in Budapest, the capital of Hungary, has reached 92.
İdman.biz reports that the hosts will perform with the maximum squad - 21 Hungarian athletes will compete on the tatami.
The International Judo Federation (IJF) team includes 20 athletes, while Brazil, Japan, France, Italy, Mongolia and Uzbekistan will each send 18 participants.
The most massive category will be the 66 kg weight category, in which 55 judokas will compete.
It should be noted that 13 judokas will defend the honor of the Azerbaijani national team at the World Cup, which will be held on June 13-19: Olympic and world champions Hidayat Heydarov (73 kg) and Zelim Kotsoyev (100 kg), as well as Ahmad Yusifov (60 kg), Ruslan Pashayev (66 kg), Rashid Mammadaliyev (both 73 kg), Zelim Tckaev (81 kg), Eljan Hajiyev, Vugar Talibov (both 90 kg), Ushangi Kokauri (+100 kg), Leyla Aliyeva, Konul Aliyeva (both 48 kg), Gultaj Mammadaliyeva (52 kg) and Fidan Alizade (57 kg).
