A seminar dedicated to the changes in the rules applied by the International Judo Federation was held at the Training Center of national teams, organized by the Referees Committee of the Azerbaijan Judo Federation (ACF).

It was reported that the seminar was organized under the leadership of Natig Bagirov, advisor to the ACF president, and Matin Rahimli, ACF's manager for referees, an "A" category international referee.
Detailed discussions were held on the following topics at the event, innovations were explained, and changes were demonstrated visually:
- Innovations related to when and in what situations the yuko score is awarded;
- Permissible cases when breaking the kumikata and the criteria for applying the shido penalty;
- Shido penalties to be given for prolonging the time;
- Nuances to be taken into account during the application of the ushiro-sankaku technique;
- Innovations in awarding the shido penalty for passivity;
- Changes related to medical intervention during the match.
