A seminar for referees was held at the Training and Sports Center of the national judo teams, organized by the Referees Committee of the Azerbaijan Judo Federation (ACF), in preparation for the national championship.
Idman.Biz reports that the seminar, led by Natig Bagirov, advisor to the ACF president, and Matin Rahimli, ACF's referee manager, an international "A" category referee, began with the sounding of the National Anthem.
At the event, reminders were first made about the referees' code of conduct. Later, detailed discussions were held on the distinctions between yuko and waza-ari scores, "false attacks," and when a penalty point (shido) should be given for stepping out of bounds.
