A seminar was organized for members of the referee team of the Azerbaijan Judo Federation with the presentation of Daniel Laskau, sports director of the International Judo Federation Academy.

It was reported that the main purpose of the training was to increase the theoretical knowledge and practical skills of referees, to explain the latest innovations in international rules and to ensure a unified approach in the management of competitions. Within the framework of the event, extensive discussions were held on evaluation criteria, the application of the video replay (VAR) system and the correct interpretation of controversial episodes.
In his speech, Daniel Laskau emphasized the importance of increasing the quality of refereeing in international tournaments and said that such educational seminars organized in national federations play an important role in the professional development of referees. He answered the participants' questions through interactive presentations and practical examples, and analyzed real competition situations.
Referees of the republic level and international category participated in the seminar. At the end of the event, participants were presented with relevant certificates.
