Idman.Biz reports that Makhachev currently has a 16-fight winning streak in the UFC.
Islam has a total of 28 wins and one loss. The Russian athlete made his professional mixed martial arts debut in 2010. He is also the 11th two-division UFC champion in league history.
In his most recent fight, Islam shared the octagon with Australian Jack Della Maddalena. The fight lasted all five rounds and ended with a unanimous decision victory for the Russian fighter.
