Clarity has been brought to the condition of the injured judokas of the Azerbaijani national team.
The Azerbaijan Judo Federation (ACF) stated this in response to a request from "Report".
It was emphasized that national team member Eljan Hajiyev (90 kg) is currently undergoing a recovery process:
"He will start training in June. If everything goes well, he is scheduled to participate in his first competition in August. Vugar Talibov, who competes in the same weight category, is in the same situation. He is also undergoing a recovery process after surgery."
The ACF also clarified the situation with Vusal Galandaradze (81 kg), who was injured in the final match of the Grand Prix held in Linz, Austria:
"He will have surgery this week. Vusal Galandaradze will also return to training in three months."
It should be reminded that Vugar Talibov and Eljan Hajiyev have not participated in any tournaments so far this year. Vusal Galandaradze won a silver medal at the Grand Prix in Austria.
