Hidayat Heydarov (73 kg) has lost his leadership as the judoka with the highest ranking points among all categories.
Idman.biz reports that after the World Championships in Budapest, several athletes overtook the Azerbaijani Olympic champion.
Among them are Sanshiro Murao, Ryuji Nagayama, Takeshi Takeoka (all Japan), Inal Tasoev, Timur Arbuzov, and Matvey Kanikovski (all IJF).
In the combined ranking of all categories, Heydarov is eighth (5420 points), while his teammate Zelim Kotsoev (100 kg) is seventh. The Olympic champion, who won a bronze medal in Budapest, has 5866 points.
