The World Judo Championships continue in Budapest, the capital of Hungary. Sport24.az reports that on the 3rd day of the competition, Hidayat Heydarov (73 kg), the Olympic, world and four-time European champion, faced an unexpected defeat. He faced Otari Kvantidze, originally from Georgia representing Portugal, in the 1/16 finals and lost. Thus, he finished his fight at the World Championships early.
It should be noted that although 22-year-old Otari Kvantidze has been among the prize-winners in a number of international competitions, he does not yet have a title in the European and world championships.
