The International Judo Federation (IJF) has completed the survey for the title of the best judoka of the year. Sport24.az reports that Olympic and world champion Hidayat Heydarov is also included in the top "three".
He surpassed Hifume Abe, Takanori Nagase (both Japan), Teddy Riner (France) and his teammate Zelim Kotsoev.
Lasha Bekauri (Georgia) and Eldos Smetov (Kazakhstan) are also in the top "three".
The winners of the year in world judo will receive their awards at the "Grand Slam" tournament to be held in Paris on February 1-2.
