Azerbaijani Olympic champion Hidayat Heydarov, who won a gold medal at the Guadalajara Grand Prix, is confident that he will return to the top again. Sport24.az reports that the Olympic champion said this in his statement to "Judo TV".
He commented on his successful performance in Mexico:
"I feel great. It's like I started everything from scratch and it will continue from now on. This is not the first time I have lost my athletic form. After success, I sometimes fail, but then I return to the top again. Even when I lost at the World Championship, I knew that I would return to the top again. In professional sports, there are ups and downs - you are either at the top or at the bottom. Frankly, I am not too worried about the period of decline. I am an Olympic, world and European champion and I am sure I will come back again. All this criticism just motivates me - I love it."
