Azerbaijani Olympic champion judokas Hidayat Heydarov (73 kg) and Zelim Kotsoev (100 kg) will participate in the Grand Prix tournament to be held in Lima, the capital of Peru.
The Azerbaijan Judo Federation informed "Report" about this.
At the competition, 17 judokas (14 men, 3 women) in 9 weight categories will compete under the leadership of Richard Trautmann, head coach of the Azerbaijani national team, Elkhan Mammadov, senior coach, and Amina Abdellatif, head coach of the women's team.
Turan Bayramov, Ahmad Yusifov (both 60 kg), Ruslan Pashayev, Rashad Yelkiyev (both 66 kg), Hidayat Heydarov, Rashid Mammadaliyev (both 73 kg), Vusal Galandarzade, Omar Rajabli (both 81 kg), Vugar Talibov, Murad Fatiyev (both 90 kg), Zelim Kotsoev, Ajdar Bagirov (100 kg), Ushangi Kokauri, Kenan Nasibov (+100 kg), Konul Aliyev (48 kg), Khadija Gadashova, Aydan Veliyeva (52 kg) will step on the tatami.
It should be noted that the competition will be held between October 11-13.
