Azerbaijani Olympic judo champion Hidayat Heydarov (73 kg) shared his thoughts on winning the gold medal at the Grand Prix held in Guadalajara, Mexico.
Idman.Biz reports that our judoka made an emotional statement on his social media account in response to criticism:
"Yesterday they criticized, today they applaud. I didn't change, only the tatami spoke."
It should be noted that Heydarov won the title by defeating Czech representative Husniddin Karimov in the final of the international tournament. This is his first major victory after the Paris 2024 Summer Olympics.
