The Azerbaijan judo team has joined the training camp organized by the European Judo Union in Benidorm, Spain.
Idman.biz reports that a total of 36 athletes (28 men, 8 women) are participating in the preparation process.
They are training under the leadership of Rihard Trautman, head coach of the men's national team, Amina Abdelatif, coach of the women's team, and Rustam Alimli, head coach of the youth team.
The main purpose of the training camp is to prepare for the World Championship, which will be held in Budapest, the capital of Hungary, from June 13-20, and other international tournaments. Olympic champions Hidayat Heydarov and Zelim Kotsoiev are also participating in the training camp.
The international training camp, attended by representatives from more than 20 countries, will end on May 23.
