Azerbaijani athletes stopped fighting at the "Grand Slam" judo tournament held in Abu Dhabi.
Idman.Biz reports that Ruslan Pashayev, who competed in the 66 kg weight category, lost to Adrian Nieto Chinarro, a representative of Spain, by hansoku-make (automatic defeat due to the opponent's violation of the rules) in the 1/8 finals and was eliminated from the competition.
In the same stage, Balabay Agayev, in the 60 kg weight category, also lost his first match to Turkish athlete Salih Yildiz with a yuko score (score gained for superiority over the opponent) and stopped the fight early.
