The first round of the U-16 judo "Talent Selection" tournament will be held on February 14-15 at the Absheron Olympic Sports Complex.
"Report" reports that 358 athletes (302 boys, 56 girls) from 73 clubs and sports societies will compete in 16 weight categories in the tournament.
The purpose of holding the "Talent Selection" competition is to form a healthy lower base of the Azerbaijani national team, to identify promising athletes nominated for the national team, and to form a stable reserve base.
It should be noted that athletes who are in the top 4 in each weight category in the final ranking of 2 rounds will be involved in the "Hopes of the Future" training program.
