The European Judo Hopes Tournament and technical sessions of Kodokan experts, organized by the European Judo Union, have started at the Absheron Olympic Sports Complex.
Idman.biz reports that 436 athletes (364 boys, 72 girls) from 88 clubs representing 12 countries are competing in the international competition.
Winners and prize-winners will be determined in 33 weight categories at the tournament held in the U-13 and U-15 age categories.
The technical sessions are led by Serbian Aleksandar Kukoly, European champion and silver medalist of the World Championship, and Japanese Kodokan expert Tokuno Kazuhiko, medalist of the World Championship. These coaches with rich experience contribute to the development of tournament participants by providing them with unique knowledge and skills.
