The European Judo Hopes Tournament and a technical session by Kodokan experts will be held in Baku.
Idman.biz reports that the European Judo Union (EJU) shared its expectations for the meeting in Baku, recalling a similar event that took place last weekend in Kocaeli, Turkey.
According to the EJU, more than 450 children participated in the European Judo Hopes Tournament and technical sessions with Kodokan experts Misato Nakamura and Telma Monteiro in Kocaeli: "It was a great success and the foundation for such events was laid.
Although the program is still in its early stages, the interest and organization demonstrate the efforts of federations and clubs to prepare the new generation for judo. Young judokas not only meet peers from all over Europe, but also learn from world-class coaches and meet elite athletes with years of experience.
The next stop is Azerbaijan. This country, which will host the 2026 World Championship, is already focusing on the development of the younger generation and invites all its neighbors, as well as its friends in Europe, to Baku for the European Hopes Tournament and the technical session of Kodokan experts."
It should be noted that the event will take place on July 26-27 at the Absheron Olympic Sports Complex.
