The European Judo Championship among veterans starts today in Riga, the capital of Latvia.
Idman.biz reports that approximately 900 athletes will participate in the competition, including Azerbaijanis.
The European Judo Union (EJU) paid special attention to the performance of Farhad Rajabli (90 kg), a well-known Azerbaijani veteran judoka, 10-time European and 12-time world champion among veterans, on the eve of the competition in Riga. The famous athlete will compete for the next title.
The EJU presented our compatriot with the following sentence: "Farhad Rajabli always proudly carries the Azerbaijani flag among his teammates."
