The draw ceremony of the Azerbaijan Judo Championship among women and men has been held. Sport24.az reports that the event was attended by Rashad Rasul, Executive Vice-President of the Azerbaijan Judo Federation (AJF), Natig Bagirov, Advisor to the President of the AJF and Chairman of the Judges Committee, and Kamran Talibov, Deputy Secretary General and Sports Director.
First, Rashad Rasul was given the floor. The official of the organization, thanking the Ministry of Youth and Sports, emphasized that 206 athletes from 50 clubs and sports organizations will participate in the competition.
He stated that all necessary steps have been taken to organize the competition at a high level and invited fans to watch the matches from the arena.
Natig Bagirov noted that the most experienced local and international referees were involved in the championship. He expressed his belief that the matches would be fair and transparent and wished all athletes success.
Kamran Talibov provided information about the competition program, after which the draw started.
It should be noted that the national championship will be held on December 5-7 at the Baku Sports Palace. Admission to the arena is free.
