A seminar was organized for members of the referee staff of the Azerbaijan Judo Federation (ACF), presented by Daniel Lascau, Sports Director of the International Judo Federation Academy. Sport24.az reports with reference to ACF that the main purpose of the training was to improve the theoretical knowledge and practical skills of referees, explain the latest innovations in international rules, and ensure a unified approach in the management of competitions.
Within the framework of the event, extensive discussions were held on evaluation criteria, the implementation of the video replay (VAR) system, and the correct interpretation of controversial episodes.
In his speech, Daniel Lascau emphasized the importance of improving the quality of refereeing in international tournaments and noted that such educational seminars organized in national federations play an important role in the professional development of referees. He answered the participants' questions through interactive presentations and practical examples, and analyzed real competition situations.
Referees with national and international categories participated in the seminar. At the end of the event, participants were presented with relevant certificates.
