The Azerbaijan Judo Federation (ACF) conducted a "City tour" along the main streets and avenues of the capital with a specially branded bus.
"Report" was informed about this by the ACF, referring to "Report".
Small judokas participating in the tour organized in connection with October 28 - World Judo Day met with residents in various places of the city, congratulated them on Judo Day, and took memorable photos.
The project served to increase the popularity of this sport in the country by conveying the values of judo - respect, courage and friendship - to a wider audience. October 28 is also the birthday of Judo founder Jigoro Kano. Judo is a system where everyone can reveal their true potential and discover themselves.
Interest in judo is rapidly increasing in Azerbaijan. In recent years, our athletes have raised the flag of our country to the top in the most prestigious arenas. The successes of our Olympic and world champions such as Hidayat Heydarov and Zelim Kotsoiev have brought great joy to the whole country.
ACF's systematic activity is the basis of these achievements. Expanding the coverage of judo in the regions, commissioning new training centers, educational campaigns for schoolchildren, advanced training programs for coaches and referees, as well as inclusive and mass-oriented projects make a special contribution to the sustainable development of judo in our country.
