The leadership of the Azerbaijan Judo Federation and well-known champion judokas met with the participants of the seventh "Fraternal Karabakh Schools" Winter Camp held in Shabran region.
Idman.Biz reports that the meeting was attended by the Vice-President of the Azerbaijan Judo Federation, Olympic champion Elnur Mammadli, President of the Azerbaijan Judo Veterans Association, Chairman of the "Judo Club 2012" Public Union Azer Asgarov, Olympic champion Hidayat Heydarov, European champions Rustam Orujov and Orkhan Safarov, as well as other official representatives.
At the event, which was jointly organized by the "Zafar" Public Union for Support of Martyrs' Families, the Cultural Center of Azerbaijanis in Switzerland, and the "Weekend Karabakh School" operating in Nantes, France, with the support of the Azerbaijan Diaspora Support Fund, the champions had a sincere conversation with the camp participants, shared their experiences of life and sports and called on them to be purposeful and determined.
Within the framework of the meeting, judogi was presented to Laman Niftaliyeva, a young judoka who is a camp participant, Hero of the Patriotic War, daughter of martyr XTQ chief warrant officer Mehrab Niftaliyev, and prize-winner of the national championship, by champion judokas.
Finally, commemorative gifts were presented to all camp participants by Azer Asgarov, Chairman of the "Judo Club 2012" Public Union, who initiated the meeting.
It should be noted that during the camp held at the "Shabran Wellbeing Resort" Recreation and Health Center, various educational trainings, intellectual games, cultural and sports events are organized. The second phase of the camp is planned to be held in France in the summer of 2026.
