Azerbaijani judoka Balabey Agayev (60 kg) believes he deserved to win a gold medal at the Grand Prix held in Guadalajara, Mexico.
According to "Report", the 27-year-old athlete made a statement to the press service of the International Judo Federation about this.
The national team member highly appreciated his performance at the tournament:
"My performance here was very good. I believed in myself, I thought I could become a champion. Because I had prepared well. We participated in a training camp in Brazil. I deserved to be the champion at the Grand Prix. I showed determination and won a gold medal."
It should be noted that Azerbaijani judokas finished the competition in Mexico with 9 medals .
