Aziz-Agha Ahmadov, one of the first judo coaches of Azerbaijan, and also among the first coaches of the national team, has died.
"Report" reports that the specialist died at the age of 80.
Among the coach's trainees, who have made great contributions to the training of young athletes for many years, are multiple world and European prize-winners in judo, 4-time world and 5-time European champion in sambo, Honored Master of Sports Natig Bagirov, multiple winners of Azerbaijani and All-Union tournaments Ismat Iskenderov, Asif and Arif Yusifovs, Arif Gasimov, Honored Coaches of Azerbaijan Ruzbeh and Rauf Veliyevs, Etibar Bagirov, Honored Artist of Azerbaijan Museyib Amirov, silver medalist of the European Championship Tarlan Poladov, prize-winner of the VIII USSR Peoples' Spartakiad Ilham Jafarov, Irsil Khaimov, Akbar Karimov, Anatoly Kakhanevich, Mirali Seyidov and hundreds of athletes.
