The European Youth Judo Championship will be held in Skopje, the capital of North Macedonia, from June 26-29.
Idman.biz reports that the Azerbaijani national team will be represented in the competition in individual events with 19 athletes (10 boys, 9 girls) in 14 weight categories.
Our team will compete in the mixed team competition on the last day of the tournament.
Our judokas will be led by Emin Iskandarov, head coach of the youth boys' team, coaches Nijat Shikhalizade and Kotaro Sasaki, Elnur Ismayilov, head coach of the youth girls' team, and coach Amrah Ahmadov.
Akif Tahirov, a member of the Azerbaijan Judo Federation's referee panel, an A category international referee, will be among the representatives of justice at the continental championship.
