The Azerbaijani judokas who will participate in the European Open Tournament to be held in Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia, on February 14–15, have been determined.
The Azerbaijan Judo Federation (ACF) informed "Report" about this.
7 female judokas will represent the country in 5 weight categories at the competition. Shafag Hamidova (48 kg), Aydan Valiyeva, Leyla Aliyeva, Konul Aliyeva (all 52 kg), Fidan Alizade (57 kg), Sudaba Agayeva (70 kg) and Madina Kaisinova will compete.
The athletes will be led by Amina Abdellatif, the head coach of the women's national team, and Sasha Herkenrat-Vimar, the senior coach. Nazim Umbayev, an A-category international judge, and Mahammadali Guluzade, a B-category international judge, members of the ACF's panel of judges, will be among the representatives of justice.
509 athletes (293 men, 216 women) from 44 countries will test their strength in the international competition.
