Azerbaijani athletes will participate in the World Championship in Tokyo.
This was reported to "Report" by the press service of the Azerbaijan Karate Federation.
Two members of the Azerbaijani national kyokushin karate team - Balaami Ahmadov (60 kg) and Aligismat Hasanov (70 kg) - will participate in the first full contact kyokushin karate world championship to be held in Tokyo, Japan from May 31 to June 1.
The competition will take place at the prestigious Tokyo Ariake Arena.
The team will be led by Allahverdi Rustamov, AKF Vice-President for contact styles and responsible person for the kyokushin karate style.
It should be noted that head coach Samir Mammadov and international referee Mubariz Melikov will also represent Azerbaijan at the competition.
